Gatlinburg mountain cabins offer extreme privacy for lovers of the outdoors

When we purchased 30 acres on the Little Pigeon River in Sevier County, it was a dream come true of having river property where our guests could hike, swim, fish, and be in complete privacy, away from any sense of commercial activity--just experiencing the peace and quiet of nature at its best in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.
We are the "little cabin" company--designing and building small footprint cabins that leave you surrounded by an untouched forest. Our simple design lets in lots of light through the gable glass and French door. It is created just for two. Enjoy the indoor heart shaped jacuzzi by a real wood burning fireplace or the outdoor hot tub under the stars...in complete solitude. Come to our "Wildflower Wilderness" and if you want to leave for a great breakfast at Creekwalk Inn, we will pack you a lunch, too, and give you a trail map of the Great Smoky Mountains. Our favorite trails await you, visits to waterfalls and summits that will literally take your breath away!

Edith and Alex Williams, sponsors of "The Gadabouts", visit Creekwalk Inn Bed and Breakfast, enjoy brunch and conversation in Creekwalk's tea room

Edith and Alex Williams, accompanied by the Knoxville group, "The Gadabouts", returned to Creekwalk Inn Bed and Breakfast to enjoy a spring brunch on April 14, 2010. The wildflowers along the creek were in full bloom.
Menu for the brunch began with a salad with fresh avocado and mint. The main course featured roast pork loin and french toast drizzled with Grand Marnier strawberry sauce with green beans simmered in fresh cream and scallions, garnished with rosemary from the windowbox herbs. Dessert followed with fresh grilled apples from the local orchard topped with roasted cranberries, maple syrup and French vanilla ice cream with orange zest. Plenty of good coffee and conversation, and hope to see you next year!

Bishop's Cap tipping in spring, Cosby Bed and Breakfast close by Gatlinburg

The nature trail at Cosby Campground, a Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance overlooked by the crowds but enjoyed immensely by guests of Creekwalk Inn Bed and Breakfast, abounds in spring with wildflowers. This photo of Bishop's Cap was taken this week along the creek behind the outdoor amphitheatre at Cosby Campground. There are many trail heads here to the Appalachian Trail, Hen Wallow Falls, Albright Grove Loop, and Mount Cammerer.

Cosby Campground entrance to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, great Gatlinburg area bed and breakfast

Looking for a peaceful Gatlinburg area bed and breakfast for winding down and wanting to try out your new hiking boots? Whether you stroll around the nature trail at the campground in Cosby or take one of the longer trails to Hen Wallow Falls or to the Appalachian Trail, the wildflowers are amazing this spring!

Foothills Parkway in Cosby, TN, extends Blue Ridge Parkway

Just off exit 443, off 1-40 in Tennessee, the Foothills Parkway connects to highway 321 in Cosby. This little stretch of road, just 6 miles, is a portion of the planned roadway that was to go all the way to Gatlinburg. Hopefully someday it will be extended, but right now Cosby has the best section of spectacular nature overlooks of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Mount Cammerer, named by Backpacker magazine the "best hike of the southeast". The hike is a 12 mile round trip hike from Cosby Campground, just a few miles down the road from Creekwalk Inn. We will fix you an early breakfast if you want to make the ascent to the firetower and pack you a lunch, too!

Carver's Apple Orchard fun dining near Creekwalk Inn, a Smoky Mountain Bed and Breakfast

A favorite dining spot in Cosby is Carver's Orchard. Tonight the annual play "Under the Apple Trees" by Duay O'Neal is featured outdoors with the apple trees blooming all around. It is a wonderful play about the history of the area and the history of the orchard. The Carver's brought apple trees out of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the 30's and planted them on the present site in Cosby. The play commemorates the history of the area and the forward thinking of the Carver family, who has owned the orchard since the beginning of the national park.
Creekwalk Inn Bed and Breakfast and Cabin Rentals is less than 2 miles from Carver's Orchard. My favorite on the menu is the grilled trout. My kids love the fried chicken and apple fritters. Best of all is the year round apple barn with lots of fresh local vegetables and apples, and fresh pressed apple cider.

Gatlinburg bed and breakfast offers private hot tub garden

Our Albright Grove Loop Room now offers a private romance garden with a hot tub and fireplace for summer or winter evenings under the stars! This Gatlinburg bed and breakfast, a rustic log inn on the creek, features a relaxed back to nature experience close to hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Our Hannah Mountain Room has a stone fire ring by a hot tub, right on the stream--equally popular with our guests.

Smoky Mountain Wildflowers at our farm!

Sitting on the back porch at Creekwalk gazing over the wildflowers may be one of the highlights of spring on the farm. These wildflowers inspire me every spring. In just a short week they jump out of the ground to over a foot high, surrounded by yellow trilliums! Wish you were here to see them!

Easter Sunrise Muffins our Smoky Mountain Bed and Breakfast treat

Sometimes an old idea takes on new form! I tried this upside down muffin with honey on top and a slice of orange and cranberries. Delicious! A touch of oatmeal for the moist and flavorful delight. Yesterday I made oatmeal bread with steel cut oats and rye flower, really delicious toasted with blackberry jam layered on top!

April Fools wedding at Whisperwood Farm

A beautiful April 1st with no fools here, just lots of love. Angela and Richard spoke their vows in our little chapel and the forstythia bushes blazed their beautiful yellow outdoors. Austen was best man and Kelepta the flower girl, dropping forstythia blossoms in the aisle for her mom Angela. Very lovely celebration with a delicious cake and cider in the reception lodge. Many happy years and blessings to all!
