My wife and I stayed in this room this past weekend. We arrived around 2:30 and were in the hot tub 20 minutes later. It was so refreshing after the 300 mile drive from NC. That evening my daughter treated us to a dinner and we chose Carver's Apple House just up the road. The dining room is situated looking out over the orchard and has nice country style cooking. We were forced to keep indoors that evening because of the rain. That was O.K. though because the lodge is very cozy and our room very romantic. The next morning we were treated to a wonderful breakfast and had a packed lunch to take on our days excursion. We drove up to Davenport Gap and hiked south on a section of the Appalachian trail where I had hiked 10 years ago almost to the day. It brought back many great memories (even the mud). After some well-deserved hot tub time, our second evening was highlighted by a personalized gourmet dinner prepared by Janice's lovely and talented daughter, Kelsey. We planned some other outside activities for that evening but had to reconsider after the meal. A walk in the dark around the farm was all we could manage. Our last morning was greeted with another out-of-this-world breakfast. Our stay was short, but long enough to recharge our spirits. This first visit to Creekwalk Inn was a memorable experience. The setting is beautiful and the other guest were friendly and interesting folks. Janice's personality made us feel so welcome and that we had known her for a long time. My wife and I both agree that we will return very soon for another "recharge".
